Frequently asked questions
The short version of everything families ask us before their first DYS season.
How much does a season cost?
$85 per player for any DYS sport. That covers the jersey, insurance, officials, and field costs.
What if we can't afford registration?
Request a scholarship during signup. We have never turned a family away for cost, and requests stay confidential.
What equipment do we buy?
Uniforms come with registration. Families bring cleats, mouthguards for flag football, and shin guards for soccer.
How are teams formed?
By age division and neighborhood, balancing experience levels. Coach and teammate requests are honored when possible.
When are practices?
One weekday evening per week, set by your head coach at the home venue for your division.
What happens with bad weather?
Decisions are posted by 7 AM on game days on the field status board and sent to coaches to relay to families.
Can we get a refund?
Full refunds until two weeks before opening day. After that we issue a credit toward the next season.
How do I volunteer or coach?
Apply on the volunteer page. All on-field volunteers complete a free background check and a short training clinic.
